First Transit Employee Recognized by Mass Transit Magazine

Publication Names Lora Mallory to “Top 40 Under 40” List

CINCINNATI Mass Transit Magazine recently recognized Director of Operations for the Northwest Region Lora Mallory, as one of its “Top 40 Under 40” for 2011. The award recognizes 40 individuals under the age of 40 for their transit industry contributions and exemplary work in their profession. Recipients are individuals who have shown a capacity for innovation, demonstrated strong leadership skills and made a commitment to making an impact in the transit industry.

In her position, Mallory supports the region’s general managers assisting them with staffing, budgeting and other duties to ensure the smooth operation of all 25 First Transit locations throughout Northern California, Washington, Oregon and Northern Nevada. She has worked in the transit industry since 1997 and has spent her entire career with First Transit. Mallory says she is flattered to have received this recognition and thanks the management at her locations for much of her success.

“I have a fantastic team that I work with and I don’t believe I could have reached this point in my career without their hard work and dedication to their transit locations,” Mallory said. “I have had some amazing mentors over the years within First Transit and that coupled with the confidence my company has in me has definitely made this recognition possible. I look forward to many more successes as my career continues.”

Mallory received her Bachelor’s in Business Management from University of Phoenix and her Master’s in Business Administration from Capella University.
