Willie McDonald Named New General Manager of
Racine, WI Bus System
CINCINNATI — The City of Racine and First Transit, Inc., the City’s contractor to manage and operate The Belle Urban System (BUS), has announced the appointment of First Transit employee Willie E. McDonald to the position of general manager. McDonald began his career working for the transit system in 1989 as a bus operator. In this new role, McDonald will devote his time completely to the management of BUS by continuing to provide an efficient and reliable transit service for the residents of Racine.
BUS provides public transportation services in Racine and surrounding communities. It transports more than one and a half million passengers per year and employs more than 90 full and part-time drivers, mechanics and support personnel.
McDonald holds the rank of Command Sergeant Major and has been a member of the Wisconsin Army National Guard for 26 years, and he has served two tours of duty in Iraq.
