Drivers Needed for University Shuttle Service at Rutgers University

Full- and part-time positions immediately available.

CINCINNATI—First Transit, Inc., a leading private provider of transit management and contracting services, is holding a job fair on Tuesday, July 26, to fill driver positions for shuttle service at Rutgers University. The event will take place at the university’s School of Management & Labor Relations building, 50 Labor Center Way, Room 115. The hiring session will take place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

“At this upcoming event, we are looking to fully staff our location with applicants who exhibit safe driving skills and are equipped with excellent customer service experience,” said Paul Carbonari, general manager, First Transit. “Staff will be on site to answer any questions and speak to prospective applicants about the company and the benefits of joining First Transit.”

Applicants must:

  • Be at least 21 years of age,
  • Have at least three years of verifiable driving history,
  • Pass a thorough background investigation and drug test, and
  • Meet additional company requirements.

A valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required, with passenger and airbrake endorsement.

The company offers paid training, competitive medical, dental and vision benefit packages, paid vacation and much more. Driver pay starts between $11 and $15 an hour depending on years of transit experience.
