First Transit Continues Long History with RTD-Denver with New Contract

 CINCINNATI— First Transit, Inc., a leading private provider of transit management and contracting services has renewed its contract with the Regional Transportation Department (RTD) of Denver in Longmont, Colo. With this contract renewal, First Transit will continue its strong relationship with the RTD, operating and managing the district’s 68-transit buses. The contract renewal extends their current relationship for an additional five years.

First Transit has provided service in Longmont, Boulder, and surrounding Boulder County communities since 2002. Each year, First Transit transports more than 2.9 million passengers annually in the area through its fixed-route service. The new contract will take affect January 9, 2011. First Transit provides complete operations and transit management services as well as comprehensive preventative maintenance and inspection programs to meet customer transportation and budgetary needs.
