First Transit to Host Job Fairs in Houston for Paratransit Drivers
Company seeks to fill driver positions to serve the Houston Metropolitan Transit Authority
CINCINNATI—First Transit, Inc., a leading private provider of transit management and contracting services, will host job fairs on October 13 and 20, to fill paratransit van operator/driver positions for its Houston Metropolitan Transit Authority location. The company is seeking applicants with at least five years of verifiable driving experience and will provide those hired with all necessary training.
The October 13 job fair will be held at the Houston Area Urban League located at 1301 Texas Ave. from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Applicants must be registered with the Urban League in order to participate in this fair. The October 20 event is held in conjunction with Houston Workforce Solutions and is open to the public. The fair will take place at the Third Ward Community Center located at 3611 Ennis Street from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Interested applicants who are unable to attend the job fairs may submit an application at the First Transit – Houston Paratransit location, 3250 Telephone Road. Applications will be accepted Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Applicants must be able to work shift hours and days assigned, and be able to pass Department of Transportation physical standards. In addition they must possess a sincere desire to work with the public and meet additional company requirements.
