First Transit and the City of Spartanburg Continue Their Long–Term Relationship
New three-year contract represents more than two decades of service between First Transit and the Spartanburg Area Regional Transit Authority
CINCINNATI—First Transit, Inc., a leading private provider of transit management and contracting services, has renewed its contract with the City of Spartanburg, S.C. This three-year contract extends the relationship to more than two decades.
Since 1992, First Transit has provided service six days per week, operating both fixed and paratransit routes. During the course of the partnership, the city constructed a new transportation center and added new buses and technology.
“The key to having such a strong relationship with the city is focusing on a common goal,” said Marc Keenan, general manager. “Being responsive to the city and citizens’ needs in regards to transportation has played a role in our continued success within the community and availability to provide reliable services for the city.”
First Transit works closely with its customers to develop customized solutions to fit their specific passenger transportation and budget needs. From complete operations and transit management services to comprehensive preventative maintenance and inspection programs, First Transit provides its fixed-route, paratransit and shuttle transportation customers with safe, innovative, reliable and cost-effective solutions.
