First Transit announces that the company has won the contract to provide campus shuttle services for the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). This newly awarded contract went into effect August 2014.
First Transit Senior Vice President Tim McCann states, “We are pleased to be in partnership with the Rochester Institute of Technology. We look forward to providing safe, efficient transportation for the Institute’s students and staff.”
The transportation services of the Rochester Institute of Technology seek to ensure the safety of the students and staff at RIT; to reduce the number of vehicles traveling to and parking on the campus during peak hours; and, to allow for an improved campus experience. “This is a good fit for First Transit,” says McCann, “as our corporate vision is to provide solutions for an increasingly congested world, keeping people moving and communities thriving.”
