CINCINNATI, OH—First Transit Inc., a leading private provider of transit management and contracting services, has been awarded the contract for the Georgetown Metro Connection bus transit system in Washington, D.C., beginning January 2009. First Transit is part of Cincinnati-based FirstGroup America, North America's largest transportation company.
The agreement includes the operation, maintenance and management of a fleet of five vehicles that serve the Georgetown Business Improvement District.
