First Transit Remembers John Capell

CINCINNATI, OH – On October 11, 2006, family, friends, First Transit employees and alumni paid their respects at the memorial service in honor of John Capell, retiree of First Transit, Inc.

John worked in the transit industry for more than a quarter of a century. He began with ATE and remained a loyal employee during the acquisition of Ryder/ATE and then First Transit. Beginning as a bus driver and retiring as a General Manager, John knew the ins and outs of the transit business. Working on more than 25 different transit properties, John became a widely valued source of knowledge and insight. He continued working with First Transit even after retirement as an IC. Dedicated to hard work and living life to the fullest, John was awarded the David L. Ringo award for his lifetime contributions to First Transit.
