First Transit Happy to Announce Four New Members Join Business Development Team

CINCINNATI, OH – First Transit, a leading provider of public transportation contracting and management services, is pleased to announce the addition of four new members to the Business Development Team.

Melissa Smith is the new Corporate Communications Coordinator. Smith fills the void that First Transit had in website development and maintenance, trade show preparation, and the company press releases and newsletter. She graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 2004 with a B.S. in Psychology and Communication. Previously, Smith worked as the Director of Marketing for a small wholesale company in Cincinnati.

Timothy Darnell is the new Proposal Pricing Manager, replacing Dave Braun, who has been promoted to Director of Business Development, Paratransit. Darnell graduated from Xavier University in 1996 with a B.A./B.S. in Theology and Secondary Education. He is also working on his M.B.A. and is expected to graduate from Northern Kentucky University in December. Previously, Darnell taught at Elder High School in the fields of Math and History. Darnell is excited for this change in his career path, bringing experience in analysis, design, development implementation and evaluation of training plans to help him along the way.

Ashley Grecco has been hired as the Sales Support Associate. She will be responsible for targeting new business, support on the website and proposals, and developing some marketing techniques for First Transit to utilize. Grecco has a B.S./B.A. in Marketing from Xavier University, graduating this past May. During her last year at Xavier, she worked as the Marketing Intern at Michelman.

Ben Capelle is the new Management Associate. He graduated from Ohio State University this year with a B.A. in Technology Education. During his years in college, Capelle worked as a bus driver for the campus transit services and was promoted to supervisor and trainer. He has 4 years of experience already under his belt, and is very excited to continue working in the transit industry.
