Southeast Area Transit District Renews Contract with First Transit
CINCINNATI, OH – Effective January 1, 2007 First Transit, Inc was awarded a one year renewal contract with two, one-year options by the South East Area Transit (SEAT) District in Norwich, CT. First Transit has provided management services to SEAT since 2002. Mark McClanan will continue as General Manager for SEAT with support from Region Vice President, Bill Williamson.
SEAT is the principal public transit provider of fixed route and demand response services to Southeastern Connecticut. In addition to the local service in each member town, SEAT also provides service to both Resort Casino's Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun from Norwich and New London. SEAT operates 28 vehicles with an annual ridership of 975,000.
