First Transit Awarded Contract Add-on in Arlington County, Virginia
CINCINNATI, OH – First Transit, Inc. has been awarded a contract add-on for a ITS Project Manager and Bus Stop/Shelter Program Manager in Arlington County, Virginia. The new contract addition started October 17, 2005.
The ITS Project Manager will be responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of the Columbia Pike Technology Center. Kirk Dand will serve as the First Transit resident ITS Project Manager. He previously served as the General Manager in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
Matthew Lesh will serve as the resident Bus Stop/Shelter Program Manager, responsible for managing a comprehensive program which consists of approximately 1700 bus stops and 200 shelters, utilized by six public transit operators at locations throughout Arlington County. Bill Williamson serves as the First Transit Region Vice President responsible for the Arlington County contract.
