City of Hot Springs Intracity Transit Awards Contract to First Transit

CINCINNATI, OH –First Transit, Inc. has been awarded a contract to provide contractor services for the operation and management of Hot Springs Intracity Transit, the Transportation Depot and Plaza Property Management Services beginning January, 2007.

Hot Springs Intracity Transit (IT) offers scheduled bus service six days a week throughout the city. Curb-to-curb ADA paratransit vans serve eligible citizens with disabilities.

The Transportation Depot, formerly the historic Missouri-Pacific rail depot that was constructed in 1912, currently serves as a multi-modal transportation facility. The adjacent plaza offers ample parking for automobiles and tour buses, where one can park and then board a bus. The plaza is also home to a variety of special events such as vintage car displays, music festivals, barbeque competitions, chili cook-offs, and hog rallies.

Our experienced staff including Bob Reddish, Resident Advisor, and Frank Tobey, Region Vice President, will lead the City of Hot Springs Intracity Transit team.
