Merrimack Valley Regional Transit Authority Renews Contract with First Transit

CINCINNATI, OH – First Transit, Inc. was awarded a five year renewal contract with five, one-year options by the Merrimack Valley Regional Transit Authority (MVRTA) to continue providing management services beginning May, 1 2007. The management team includes John Whittaker, General Manager, Assistant General Managers, Kevin Randall, Tim Hegarty, Jessica Bellissimo, Timothy Thurott, and Ronald Sylvester, and support from Area Vice President, David Lee.

MVRTA operates 43 fixed route vehicles on 25 routes, serving the northeast corner of Massachusetts with over 1 million miles annually of city, suburban, interurban, and rural scheduled bus routes. MVRTA also operates 15 paratransit and 4 commuter vehicles, providing ADA and non-ADA paratransit service to the residents and commuters of Merrimack Valley.
