First Transit Employee Wins Skills Competition

for Second Consecutive Year

Fausto Cambi awarded first place in Minnesota Statewide Bus Roadeo.

CINCINNATI—The Minnesota Public Transit Association (MPTA) recently awarded First Transit Driver Fausto Cambi for his first place finish in the Minnesota Statewide Bus Roadeo’s small bus division. Thirty-eight drivers participated in this year’s event. This is Cambi’s second consecutive year to win first place in this division. Drivers are judged on their performance inside and outside of their designated vehicle, demonstrating safe operating practices.

“I am happy to have earned this recognition,” Cambi said. “The safety training provided by First Transit has assisted me attaining these accomplishments, and I look forward to similar events in the future. I enjoy working for First Transit and serving my customers.”

Cambi has been a First Transit operator for nine years, and currently acts as a dial-a-ride operator for the City of Plymouth. His next skills event will take place at the Community Transportation Expo Roadeo in Indianapolis, Ind., June 2011.
